About Hotel Chelsea

Hotel Chelsea, at 222 West 23rd Street in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, is a red-brick New York City landmark completed in 1884 and long known as a home to writers, musicians and artists. Weddings here use the hotel’s restored historic rooms: the Bard Room, a ballroom with antique brass chandeliers and its own entrance on 23rd Street for up to 100 guests, and the Piano Room off the lobby, with a sunlit solarium and a baby grand piano, for cocktail receptions of up to 75. Smaller dinners can take the Tea Room, set in the original general manager’s office with its original fireplace.
