Amanda & Blake’s wedding weekend in Greenport, on Long Island’s North Fork: day one at Silver Sands Motel, day two at Hotel Moraine.

About Silver Sands Motel

Silver Sands Motel, at 1400 Silvermere Road in Greenport, is a 1950s waterfront motel on Pipes Cove, set across 45 acres between Peconic Bay and a protected salt marsh, with 1,400 feet of private beach. Its neon sign has welcomed guests since 1957, and the property reopened in 2023 after a 14-month renovation, with views across the bay toward Shelter Island.

About Hotel Moraine

Hotel Moraine sits on a bluff high above Long Island Sound, just outside Greenport Village on the North Fork. Formerly the Sunset Motel, it opened as Hotel Moraine in 2023, named for the Harbor Hill Moraine that forms the bluff. Weddings of about 125 guests are held in a tent on the lawn overlooking the Sound, and with private use of the bluff, beach, pool deck and The Cottage, it suits a wedding spread across a weekend. For photographs, that means wide views of the water, open lawn and beach, and the easy feel of an intimate seaside weekend.
